EvoGamePlus International Summer School 2023
-Ecology and Epidemiology Modeling-
June 5-9 2023 - Cavallerizza Reale, Torino, Italy
EvoGamesPlus (Evolutionary Game Theory and Population Dynamics: From Theory to Applications) Innovative Training Network focuses on the development of realistic evolutionary game theoretic models of real-world populations, using a mixture of mathematical modeling, biological knowledge and expertise in computing and the analysis of data.
The EvoGamesPlus Summer School 2023 is organized by University of Torino in Torino, Italy from 5th to 9th June 2023. The attendance list consists of the EvoGamesPlus Early Career Researchers, their supervisors, EvoGamesPlus project partners, and lecturers. The objective of the meeting is to give an opportunity to the ESRs to report their progress, exchange their experiences, learn from experts in various aspects of game theory and its applications, and network with each other and researchers in relevant fields .
The the summer school program includes activities targeting different skills training:
Research skills training: ESRs will receive training to increase knowledge and skills in advanced research topics and methods relevant for their project, both during executing their project and through network-wide training and relevant secondments.
Transferable skills training: This training will teach ESRs important sets of transferable skills, such as teamwork, communication, and organization skills.
The main theme of this summer school is Ecology and Epidemiological Modeling. Organized by the leaders of WP4, which combines game-theoretical approaches with dynamical systems to develop and analyze eco-evolutionary models of ecological and epidemiological interacting networks, the summer school will also include lectures on ecological and epidemiological data and models and using those for predicting and preventing epidemics.
